I am Kevin McMullen. And in addition to being a Chicago White Sox fan, Frank Sinatra aficionado, and collector of colorful socks, I am a PhD candidate in the English Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I specialize in nineteenth-century American Literature. My intellectual interests to this point have focused largely on American poetry, with a particular emphasis on the ways in which poets from the mid-nineteenth through early-twentieth centuries have encountered and responded to Walt Whitman (something, it seems, that poets just can't help themselves from doing).
